Bonus!
Since The Emerald Ash Borer and Aunt Phoebe mention it in this episode, here’s a recipe for scrucchiata, an Italian grape jam made from slowly simmering grapes. No other ingredients! Technically it’s sugar-free, but don’t go wild with it if you’re diabetic: after you reduce that many grapes for that long, the natural fructose in the grapes must be fairly concentrated. Eating two tablespoons of scrucchiata is like eating a quarter pound of grapes. Great recipe to make them last a bit longer if you have a bunch of grapes that are still edible but not for much longer. As you might have noticed, I love that word: skrook-YAH-ta.
