This Gun in My Hand is also available on Youtube, including auto-generated closed captions in case you’d like to read the dialog.
Show Notes:
1. The “bustle in the pub” sound clip that I’ve used before for background hubbub was a little too jovial and boisterous for a funeral visitation, so I created my own hubbub. I recorded and overlapped myself reciting “My Rifle - Creed of The United States Marine,” part of the Quality of Mercy speech from Merchant of Venice, lyrics from "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy, and Ezekiel 25:17 (Pulp Fiction Translation).
2. When Arthur Conan Doyle got sick of writing Sherlock Holmes stories and tried to kill him off permanently, he had Sherlock and Moriarty plummet from Reichenbach Falls.
Credits:
The opening and first transitional music clips were from The Sun Sets at Dawn (1950), and the closing music was from Killer Bait (1949), both films in the public domain. Most of the music and sound effects used in the episode are modified or incomplete versions of the originals.
